Description:

The Certified Teacher will work in the PreK and/or 3K classrooms providing a safe, healthy, and stimulating learning environment, and working as part of the teaching team in developing students in all domains to prepare for Kindergarten and future academic success.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; Supervising, planning and implementing Developmentally Appropriate Program activities for students 3 and 4 years old throughout the daily routine. working with students on academic skills and self help skills including; feeding and toileting. Monitoring and documenting student progress. Classroom maintenance (i.e. keeping classroom organized, checking inventory, posting student work). Participating in trainings and working with assistant teachers, and volunteers.

Qualifications:

Qualifications include the following: NYS Certified Teacher (Early Childhood Education, B-2, and/or Nursery - 6th Grade), able to read, write, and speak English, must pass background screening, healthy (able to lift 40 lbs), computer literate.

Minimum Education Level: NYS Teacher Certification

Preferred Education Level: NYS Teacher Certification
