Description:

The assistant teacher will support the lead teacher by maintaining a safe, healthy environment for the children to learn. Assistant teachers are required to know and understand the NYS Regulations and comply with them. Assistant teachers will assist the lead teacher in positive child guidance strategies and redirection as the means of behavior management. Developing and maintaining a healthy, cooperative relationship with staff and administration is a requirement.

Qualifications:

HS Diploma or GED.
One year of experience with children less than 13 years of age.
Preferred: CDA or coursework in early childhood education.

Minimum Education Level: Highschool Graduate or GED

Preferred Education Level: CDA Credential
