Lead Teacher for Pre-K/3-K

Description:

Lead teachers for preschool are responsible for the academic, social, and emotional development of young children. They work with a team of teachers to create and implement a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate, and they also supervise activities and help children reach developmental milestones. Lead teachers must also communicate with parents and guardians about their child's progress and behavior. 

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the safety and well-being of children
• Following all safety regulations
• Providing a safe and nurturing environment for the children, which may include lifting, diapering, feeding, washing, and sitting on the floor with them.
• Planning activities that balance needs for individual and group activities. 
• Communicating with parents and guardians daily and providing verbal reports
• handling discipline 
• working with a team of teachers to ensure a cohesive learning environment
