Description:

CCCN is looking for an Infant Toddler Specialist to join our Early Childhood Services Department. Join CCCN to support over 1,000 early childhood programs serving Nassau County families and make a meaningful difference!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support, coaching, guidance, and consultation to licensed and registered child care programs across Nassau County, implementing grant-funded educational initiatives and expanding partnerships with government, education and community organizations
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on child development, learning environments, classroom management, health & safety, and OCFS regulations
  • Offer technical assistance via phone and email, document grant-related activities and foster relationships with early childhood educators using a strengths-based approach
  • Curate professional resources that promote best practices for infant and toddler care
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, conferences, webinars and reflective supervision

Qualifications:

An associate’s degree in early childhood education and 2 years of experience working in a leadership or supervisory role in an early childhood setting OR an associate’s degree in a related field AND 3 to 5 years of experience working in a leadership or supervisory role in an early childhood setting

Bilingual/Spanish preferred

Experience in direct care to infants and toddlers required

Knowledge and willingness to learn about infant/toddler care, early education, regulations and child development

Excellent communication skills with diverse communities

Strong organizational and multi-tasking skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive

Comfortable with public speaking and conducting training sessions

Willingness to travel locally and regionally throughout Nassau County, including overnight trips as required for conferences

Proactive problem-solving skills and a strengths-based support approach

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and manage extended use of technology and phones
