Lead Preschool Teacher / Onsite Provider

Description:

As the Lead Teacher / Onsite Provider, you will collaborate with the Directors to ensure a safe, healthy, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment. You must be responsible and dependable, have experience working in a daycare/ childcare/preschool setting, and possess the ability to lead others.

The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm or 8:30-5 pm. Flexibility is needed as the schedule might change to stay in child to staff ratio.

Responsibilities:

• ​​​​bring joy and creativity to the classroom environment and children’s learning
• have a loving, gentle, supportive approach with children and implement positive behavior guidance strategies
• collaborate with the director on program development and quality improvement initiatives
• maintain a safe, healthy, clean and organized learning environment
• observe, document and assess children's development; develop individual learning plans
• plan and execute a daily schedule of learning experiences that promote children’s social-emotional, cognitive, physical, math, language/literacy and physical development 
• cultivate positive relationships with children, families and work-team 
• provide ongoing feedback to families about their child's progress and respond to their concerns  
• work collaboratively with work-team and provide guidance on policy and procedures
• maintain accurate records of children's attendance, progress, and daily activities
• assist visitors from regulatory and affiliate agencies
• attend professional trainings
• prepare and serve meals that meet nutritional requirements
• assist children with personal hygiene ie diaper changing/potty, handwashing
