Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Toddler Teacher that loves children ages 12 months to 36 months to join our team.

There are 10 children in your group with 2 dedicated Assistant Teachers, a supportive Educational Director, wonderful stimulating and bright environment with lots of outside time.

We support children though an emergent curriculum approach that is child driven and teacher lead.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum
- Provide a variety of engaging activities to promote learning and development in areas such as math, literacy, and social skills
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, exploration, and independence
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing individualized attention and support as needed
- Collaborate with parents or guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior and social-emotional development

-Train and guide assistant teachers
- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences as required

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education

or

-Associates in ECE with a minimum of 2 years experience as a teacher for 12-36 month olds AND working towards a Bachelors or Masters in ECE

or

-Working towards a Bachelors or Masters in ECE with at least 9 credits already completed in ECE (Must be actively attending classes and a continuous study plan)

- 2-5 experience teaching children ages 12 - 36 months in a classroom setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and activities that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children
- Familiarity with curriculum development and assessment techniques
- Enjoy team teaching and be kind and friendly

This is a full time full year position following the DOE calendar. The hours are 8:30-5:30 with benefits including health insurance, 3% matched Simple IRA after one year, 4 weeks + 18 days of scheduled time off, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
