Manage the classroom, creating developmentally appropriate lesson plans, managing/delegating tasks to the assistants and the floaters/breakers in your room. Assess the children and also assist the Director where needed.

- Apply positive guidance techniques to redirect or correct behavior.
- Actively encourage and support children in developing appropriate and positive social skills, such as sharing, cooperation, and effective communication.
- Utilize routine activities, with a visual schedule, as valuable opportunities for learning
- Ensure a neat, clean, and safe environment by regularly removing garbage, sweeping, cleaning tables, vacuuming, and mopping throughout the day.
- Work cooperatively with others, refrain from engaging in gossip and treat all other staff equally, without regard for gender, cultural background or disability
- Demonstrate proficiency in using provided technology, including the Tadpoles app, to document daily activitiesΒ such as diaper changes, meals, naps, required items, and any necessary notes.
- Staff must dress in a professional and respectful manner appropriate for a childcare setting. Attire should allow for active participation in daily activities with children.
- Must meet all licensing requirements and SBH policies
- Must be flexible in scheduling.
- Must be physically able to work with children in all situations:
- Examples being: playground time, diaper changing, helping children potty train or that have bathroom accidents, assistance in eating/feeding, wiping noses, assisting with projects/art work/notebook.
Must have a CDA in Preschool or
Bachelors degree or an associates with a plan to finish a bachelors.Β
